Deciding to actually participate in a New Music Friday, because I've been waiting for this Zara Larsson album since hearing Midnight Sun.

Zara Larsson - Midnight Sun (2025)

My rating: ★★★★☆

I loved this entire album. Zara & her team know how to make good pop music. This album features a lot of genres that I love. Drum & Bass (Midnight Sun), Dance-Pop (Blue Moon, Hot & Sexy), funk brasileiro (The Ambition). I'm also just obsessed with the visual direction this cycle. I live for y2k shiny and bright neon colors and the Lisa Frank of it all. I didn't enjoy Pretty Ugly when I first heard it as a single, but it has grown on me. I think my favorite new song on this album is Eurosummer, followed by Saturn's Return.
